Because I realized the best time to thrift is before Saturday, tonight after work I stole over to the Indian Rocks thrift.  While I was there I remembered to look over the stuffed animals and suddenly I was in luck, I found five different Build a bear animals and three with clothes on them.  They were very inexpensive, much cheaper than buying them from ebay. My first doll show being in November I know that time flies, so I need to be diligent and get stuff done.
