Dolls, like bears, can be very collectible.  I just read about Lorraine Chien  .
"As a child in her native China, Lorraine did not have many plush toys to play with.  Instead , she enjoyed story books and played out her imagination by making her own toys from bits of scraps.  This began her life long love of toy making.  After settling down in Pickering, Ontario, Canada with her husband, her creativity and love for these creatures carried on as she continued to make toys for her (now grown) children.

Doll and Bear shows happen all the time although the last show I went to I have to say I would be disappointed had I been a bear fan as there was not much available in the way of bears.  Enjoy the info.
